IMEG partnered with a marking and coding equipment manufacturer to digitize work instructions and implement Visual Knowledge Share (VKS) – a cloud-based digital work instruction software. This initiative was designed to enhance workforce training, increase process standardization, and improve production traceability.

THE PROBLEM

Paper-based work instructions (WIs) were difficult to update and maintain
Text-heavy documents limited visual learning and operator comprehension
Operators lacked motivation to read or follow printed instructions, increasing process variation
High turnover rates and new hires led to training bottlenecks and knowledge gaps

THE PLAN

IMEG developed and deployed a fully digital, visual instruction ecosystem to transform how work instructions were delivered and managed:

Developed work instructions using the VKS platform, integrating photos, videos, and step-by-step prompts
Conducted on-site operator observations to capture tribal knowledge, visual content, and process nuances
Digitized the workspace by sourcing and installing industrial-grade hardware at operator stations
