Industrial Engineer

Job Title:             Industrial Engineer                                             
Position:              Permanent Full Time Position
Location:             West Central Ohio
Job Description / Duties:

  • Update existing and develop future plant layouts (AutoCAD)
  • Develop layout for optimized materials staging and delivery to manufacturing operations
  • Develop 2D AutoCAD layout for equipment utility connections including water, air, electric, and communications
  • Develop assembly / manufacturing process to support new product or existing product improvements
  • Develop plan to improve changeover activities to increase manufacturing throughput
  • Identify methods to ensure standardized work is followed and reduce process variation
  • Work with manufacturing team members to develop continuous improvement initiatives
  • Basic understanding of data collection methods including time study, delay study, and work sampling
  • Time study existing work centersto identify waste and develop action plans for improvement
  • Develop and maintain Quality Documentationincluding Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA’s), Control Plans, Inspection Sheets, Work Instructions, and Quality Control Visuals
  • Develop work instructions following required process sequence capturing all critical process steps
  • Maximize equipment capacity utilization
  • Develop a roadmap and set priorities to reach goals set for cost improvement, safety, and efficiency
  • Develop Future State Process Map to improve handling of materials and reduction in indirect labor cost
  • Evaluate need and design for improved material handling equipment
  • Utilize project Gantt charts to manage daily project schedules for keeping all task on schedule and identify potential delays
  • Maintain detailed list of open action items to review with project team for resolution
  • Report weekly progress to management team

Mechanical Engineer

Job Title:             Mechanical Engineer                                             
Position:              Permanent Full Time Position
Location:             West Central Ohio
Job Description / Duties:

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing equipment to identify methods for improvement
  • Develop mechanical designs using SolidWorks and 2D shop prints using AutoCAD
  • Develop mechanical designs that follow all OSHA safety requirements
  • Account for operator safety, ergonomics, and cycle time in equipment design
  • Account for effective maintenance procedures in equipment design
  • Design error proofing concepts (poke-yoke) into mechanical and electrical design
  • Confirm manufacturing equipment capabilities by evaluating quality reports and analysis of equipment performance data
  • Develop detailed equipment and machine specifications for obtaining quotes
  • Basic understanding of PLC processors and HMI display screens
  • Ability to review and understand customer product design and functionality
  • Develop methods for testing and validating product functionality
  • Develop systems for collecting manufacturing equipment settings and test results allowing for future reference

Quality Engineer

Job Title:             Quality Assurance Engineer                                             
Position:              Permanent Full Time Position
Location:             West Central Ohio
Job Description / Duties:

  • Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system TS16949 / ISO9000
  • Utilize statistical methods to support Root Cause Analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns and validate all improvement activities
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system utilizing 5S and Genba Kaizen methodology and 5P Problem Solving Activities
  • Develop training plans to build quality awareness throughout manufacturing process
  • Interface with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to ensure new products are in accordance with customer drawings
  • Conduct auditsof quality system procedures and create audit finding reports
  • Determine proper corrective and preventive actions to close out audit findings
  • Analyze manufacturing process failures and develop corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation including quality manuals, quality procedures, and all process documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Quality Visuals
  • Perform supplier site audits to validate internal and external audits and controls
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier quality issues and develop correctiveand preventive actions
  • Provide assistance to ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures, FDA guidelines, and International Standards and Regulations
  • Plan and execute projects and team activates in a timely fashion
  • Assist with APQP Process (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
  • Assist with manufacturing process design & development
  • Assist with manufacturing process error proofing
  • Perform Product Reliability Studies

Process Development Engineer

Job Title:             Process Development Engineer                                            
Position:              Permanent Full Time Position
Location:             Dayton, Ohio
Job Description / Duties:

  • Develop assembly / manufacturing process to support new product or existing product improvements
  • Learn product and identify process requirements during development phase
  • Develop any new processes that may be required prior to product release to minimize time required to transition to production
  • Identify methods to ensure standardized work is followed and reduce process variation
  • Work with manufacturing team members to develop continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain documentation and processes for new products, including: Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA’s), Control Plans, Work Instructions, process capability studies, DOE’s, IQ/OQ/PQ reports, and process verification reports
  • Develop work instructions following required process sequence capturing all critical process steps
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend required capital equipment for new processes
  • Develop a roadmap and set priorities to reach goals set for cost improvement, safety, quality, scrap, capacity and efficiency
  • Define and source required equipment and/ or tooling required to reliably produce product
  • Train direct labor in newly developed processes to ensure smooth transition to production
  • Troubleshoot equipment/ tooling issues on the floor as needed
  • Recommend line layouts for optimal production capacity
  • Specify improved methods to monitor processes and measure key product characteristics based on process performance data
  • Annually review relevant processes for new business opportunities as part of PMP process
  • Maintain detailed list of open action items to review with project team for resolution
  • Report weekly progress to management team
